​Trico is a world music ensemble from the Netherlands that manages to capture different styles of music from all over the world in their compositions. Trico blends modern jazz and Latin music with influences from Arabic music and flamenco. Their music is narrative and dynamic, making it well suited for listening concerts, crossover jazz, and world music programs. Trico has a line-up that is unique for the Dutch music scene and has an exotic sound that is full of melancholy and excitement.

Their album Luminous presents a refined and open sound in which light, space, and groove take center stage. The record consists entirely of original compositions shaped collectively into a cohesive musical journey. Drawing on influences from global traditions, contemporary jazz, and improvisation, Luminous reflects Trico’s ongoing search for balance between structure and freedom, intimacy and energy.
